METHOD FOR PROCESSING TRANSMISSION DATA FOR WIRELESS APPLICATION SERVICE USING USSD AND RECORDING MEDIA THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A method for processing transmission data for wireless application service using USSD(Unstructured Supplement Service Data) and a recording media therefor are provided to increase the efficiency of the limited memory resources of mobile terminals by integrating memories in a WDP(Wireless Datagram Protocol) layer and a UDCP(USSD Dialogue Control Protocol) layer. CONSTITUTION: A WDP layer receives transmission data from an upper-level layer(500). The WDP layer stores the received data in a common buffer the WDP layer and the UDCP layer use in common(510). Then the WDP layer transfers control to the UDCP layer(520). The UDCP layer confirms a dialogue state to transmit and receive data with the other node through a USSD layer(530). If the dialogue state becomes a data transmission possible state, the UDCP layer checks the length of the transmission data(540) and judges whether SAR(Segmentation And Reassembly) is necessary(550). If SAR is unnecessary, the UDCP layer reads the whole transmission data and configure a transmission packet by adding WDP and UDCP headers(560). The UDCP layer transfers the transmission packet to the other node through the USSD layer(570).
