Only the fingers of the gloves are reinforced to 4-5 times the normal thickness, leaving the metacarpophalangeal joints free from pressure. To protect the surgeon or nursing staff from wounds during a surgical operation caused by sharp surgical objects (needles, lancets, etc.) and consequently prevent the transmission of incurable diseases (hepatitis B, hepatitis C, AIDS), and granted that 90% of wounds sustained during an operation affect the fingers, these gloves are reinforced to 4-5 times the normal thickness on the fingers only, so protecting the surgeon or nursing staff. At the same time, since they are only reinforced on the fingers, they leave the metacarpophalangeal joints free from pressure and so facilitate manipulations as much as possible. |
