PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical position detector capable of accurately measuring the position of an object, without substantially raising the cost of a scanner. SOLUTION: This optical position detector 100 comprises a two-dimensional optical sensor array 130, first optical path 260 extending between a first region 220 and the optical sensor array 130, second optical path 270 extending between a second region 230 and the optical sensor array 130, first optical component 150, second optical component 152, first optical source 140, third optical path 250, second optical source 142, and fourth optical path 256, and the position detector has the first and second regions 220, 230 irradiated with the first and second optical sources 140, 142 and photographs these regions with the optical array 130.
