PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device with macro mode, which permits a photographer to use an electric finder at a macro mode (short distance photographing). SOLUTION: An optical finder 16 displaying light emitted from the object of image pickup as an image, an electric finder 12 converting light emitted from the image pickup object into an electric signal, displaying it as the image and setting a face on which the image is displayed in a first state where the photographer can view it and a second state where he cannot view it and a macro mode change-over switch 30 for switching a regular photographing mode and a macro mode for short distance photographing, are arranged. A position where the macro mode change-over switch 30 is installed is a position 20 where an operation cannot be executed when the electric finder 12 is set in the second state.
