PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacture which manufactures good-quality toners by lessening the adhesion of the toners to the inside wall of a vessel in a polymerizing and/or distilling stage. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the polymerized toners has a mixing stage for preparing a polymerizable monomer composition containing at least polymerizable monomers and coloring agents; a granulating stage for dispersing the polymerizable monomer composition into an aqueous medium by high shearing force and granulating the particles of the polymerizable monomer composition, the polymerizing stage for polymerizing the polymerizable monomers in the particles of the polymerizable monomer composition and the distilling stage for decreasing the polymerizable monomers remaining in the resulted polymer particles. The polymerizing stage and/or the distilling stage is executed in the jacketed vessel 1 and the jacket has a heating section 7 and a cooling section 8. The inside of the vessel is agitated by agitating vanes 2 and the agitating vanes exist in a liquid phase section.
