PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a display device, and to achieve a long life. SOLUTION: An active matrix type display device comprises pixel electrodes formed on a substrate, thin film transistors for driving the pixel electrodes formed on the substrate, and protecting circuits including a transparent conductive material formed on the substrate.
