PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt drive circuit which implements software servo that is controlled with optimum values, even in a device where an external load applied to a belt fluctuates greatly. SOLUTION: Memory called L.U.T(look-up table) 3 is provided, and the L.U.T 3 contains optimized servo constants and servo parameters corresponding to the state of load on a belt fluctuating on a print sequence-by-print sequence basis, obtained through preliminary experiments and evaluation. A servo controller 2, which controls a belt drive control circuit 10, receives information on the load on the belt, together with a rotation command for a belt motor (DC motor) 7, from CPU 1, reads a servo constant and a servo parameter corresponding to the received load information from the L.U.T. 3, performs arithmetic operation by substituting them into arithmetic expressions, and outputs rotational speed information to a motor drive signal generating circuit 4. |
