PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record and output an image reliably reflecting the intention of a photographing person by recognizing all the subjects desired by the photographing person as a main part area. SOLUTION: An image pickup device for recording a picked up image and subject information in the picked up image detects the subject information in a range corresponding to the subject in an area smaller than an area for detecting the picked up image. Thus, the device recognizes the position and the size of the subject in the picked up image and output information on the position and the size of the subject with the picked up image. An image output device coordinates the picked up image and the subject information, the information on the position and the size of the subject to execute correction at the time of printing to execute image pickup and print output, which reliably reflect the intention of the photographing person.
