PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device which has two batteries and can independently control the supply of power from the two batteries. SOLUTION: In an image pickup device processing an image, an image pickup part 12 picks up the image and a driving part 24 drives the image pickup part 12. A processing part 30 records the image picked up by the image pickup part 12 in a memory 50 and/or reproduces it from the memory 50. A first battery 70 supplies power to the driving part 24 and a second battery 72 supplies power to the processing part 30. A control part 60 independently controls the supply of power to the driving part 24 from the first battery 70 and the supply of power to the processing part 30 from the second battery 72.
