PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection box for a power cable which can reduce work at measurement of partial discharge. SOLUTION: A metal foil electrode is embedded in a corrosion-proof layer applied around a connection box, and the lead wire is drawn out. The structure can be obtained by providing the metallic foil electrode on the periphery of the corrosion-proof layer of the case of the connection box, and further applying a corrosion-proof layer on the corrosion-proof layer including the metal foil electrode.
