摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical system for stereoscopic photography which can easily obtain parallax images for stereoscopic image observation, using a simple constitution having high performance and a stereoscopic photographing device using it. SOLUTION: This optical system for stereoscopic photography, which forms images having two different parallaxes for the right and left eyes on one image-pickup element alternately in time series includes two optical elements for the right and left eyes which have a reflecting function, two light quantity control means for the right and left eyes which make pieces of luminous flux from images, having different parallaxes incident on the image pickup element alternately in time series, an image-compositing means which positions the images having the mutually different parallaxes on the same optical axis, two front lens groups for the right and left eyes with negative refracting power, which are arranged closer to a subject than the image composing means, and a rear lens group which is arranged on the optical axis between the image- compositing means and image-pickup element and has at least two lens group, and the lens group located most closely to the subject side in the rear lens group is moved along the optical axis, to correct defocusing accompanying the variation in subject distance.
