FUEL ASSEMBLY ASSEMBLING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel assembly assembling device capable of automating a work for mounting end fixing members at both ends of a temporary assembly of a light water reactor fuel assembly. SOLUTION: The fuel assembly assembling device consists of a assembling stand for fixing and holding a temporary assembly of a fuel assembly with its axial center in a horizontally laid condition and first and second mounting devices aligned at both sides of the assembly stand in the direction of extending the axial center for mounting first and second end fixing members at the ends of fixed elements at one end and the other end of the temporary assembly. Each of the first and second mounting devices has a mounting guide provided with a tapered guide pin for supporting the end fixing members at the end facing the assembly stand in a cantilever manner and guiding the ends of the fixed elements fitted to through socket holes in the end fixing members and a correcting mechanism for correcting the positions of the end fixing members supported at the end of the mounting guide in a plane perpendicular to the axial center.
