PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high recording density, large recording capacity and simply constituted optical information recording method and an optical recording medium and an optical information recorder used for its execution. SOLUTION: A laser beam that a laser beam source 1 irradiates is converged on the optical recording medium 3 consisting of photosensitive material by an objective lens 2. In the optical recording medium 3, the laser beam is converged, and a refractive index is changed only on a spot 6 that the beam intensity is large. The variable amount of the refractive index is controlled by the intensity of the beam that the laser beam source 1 irradiates, and multilevel information corresponding to the variable amount of the refractive index are recorded. |
