PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for measuring a concentration whereby a measurement object can be measured with a higher accuracy and a higher sensitivity by an inexpensive optical system in a simple apparatus constitution by making use of merits of the shift of a bioluminescence energy which is hard to affect by impurities, can be measured by a uniform system and requires no excitation light. SOLUTION: According to the method, the concentration of a substance X is measured with the use of a substance A labeled by an enzyme E for catalyzing a luminous reaction and a substance B labeled by a fluorescent substance F. The concentration of the substance X is measured by using a fluorescence amount of the fluorescent substance F because of the radiationless shift of the emission energy in the luminous reaction catalyzed by the enzyme E as a marker.
