PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic tube for heat exchanger which can maintain a high heat-exchanging capacity when heat exchange is performed on a high- temperature gas containing dust, such as the fly ash, etc. SOLUTION: A ceramic tube 20 for heat exchanger is composed of a ceramic and has a flow passage 20b which is formed in the pipe 20 and radiates heat from its outer peripheral surface and, at the same time, receives heat by its inner peripheral surface by making a high-temperature gas flow. When the high-temperature gas contains dust, the adhesion of the dust to the inner peripheral surface of the flow passage 20b is prevented, because a glassy coating layer 21 is formed on the surface.
