PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leaf springs for energizing a cover-locking member from entangling each other even when a large number of them are housed for transportation, assembling, etc. SOLUTION: In this tape cassette having a tape-state medium wound within a case main body, provided with a freely openable and closable cover which draws the tape-state medium to the outside of the case main body to close the drawn medium when the tape cassette is not used and to expose the medium when the cassette is used, and provided with a cover locking member for preventing opening of a cover when it is closed and a leaf spring 50 for energizing the cover lock member, the spring 50 is provided with a fitting part 502 bent and formed nearly in a U shape and a pressurizing part 501 for pressurizing the cover lock member and the width size (a) of the part 502 is different from the size (b) in a longitudinal direction.
