PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge capable of suppressing frictional resistance in sliding of a shutter thereby suppressing the occurrence of worn powder due to the friction. SOLUTION: This disk cartridge provided with a cartridge case 1 having at least a head insertion port (opening part 2) and rotatably housing a recording disk inside and a shutter 7 slidably fitted to the outside of the case 1 to open and close the head insertion port is provided with a rib 5 continuously extended near the head insertion port and over the almost entire length of the head insertion port within the shutter sliding area of the case 1 and the shutter 7 is in slidable contact on the rib 5.
