PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a device for efficiently and easily preparing an image for shelf allotting simulation without requiring manual work, which executes desirable segmentation even when an object is transparent and even when a color close to the color of a background is included in a part of an object. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an image edge emphasizing means, a background color automatically deciding means, a binarizing means, a binary image vectorizing means, an unnecessary vector removing means and a plural- vector circumscribed rectangular calculating means. Then, a series of processing is executed in the order of smoothing of the image→edge emphasis→automatic decision of a background color→binarization→vectrorization→removal of unnecessary vector→calculation of a circumscribed rectangle, and an original image is cut off by the finally obtained circumscribed rectangle to obtain a desired trimming image. |
