PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the detection of color erroneous setting and to reduce the cost. SOLUTION: Input picture data is stored in a buffer (step 10) and it is transferred to a vector space (step 12). The inspection window of a notice pixel is set and background and foreground pixels in the window are selected (step 14). The notice pixel is inspected and it is decided whether or not the pixel is in the edge of a scanned object (step 16). When the notice pixel is in the edge, it is analyzed whether color erroneous setting exists or not (step 22). The Stoke's theorem is applied to analysis. When color erroneous setting exceeds a threshold in the applied result of the Stoke's theorem, the notice pixel is analyzed to have color erroneous setting. |
