SOLUTION: Relating to a magnetic brush electrifying device provided with a magnetic particle carrier that is rotatable and in a cylindrical shape, and includes a magnetic field generating means provided with a multiple number of magnetic poles in a peripheral direction of the magnetic particle carrier, and an edge part sealing member that is attached in a longitudinal direction of the magnetic particles carried on the magnetic particle carrier and the magnetic particle carrier while being in no contact with the magnetic particle carrier, a magnet is utilized as the edge part sealing member and as magnetic particles, the magnetic particles having grain diameter of >=5μm and a standard deviation of length of short axis/length of long axis, of >=0.08, are used.
