SOLUTION: In this coupon and ticket issuing machine for executing printing on a roll paper and issuing a coupon or a ticket, a straight carrying part for carrying the roll paper is provided with a driving mechanism, which has a cutter unit for cutting the roll paper every prescribed width and moves the cutter holding frame 42 of the cutter unit straight from a home position P1 to an end position P3, and a roller retracting mechanism 52 for retracting the feeding roller 14 and the pad roller 51 of the roll paper from a carrying path 53 when the roll paper enters the straight carrying part.
