PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-impregnated film capacitor which is improved in high-frequency characteristics by stabilizing the capacitance, withstanding to larger electric power, even if the size of the capacitor is reduced by improving thermal conduction, and in allowable power. SOLUTION: A water-cooled capacitor is constituted, in such a way that glass cloth is wound around and stuck to the outer periphery of a capacitor element wound around an insulating pole brace having an expanding slot and tapped holes for fixing electrode caps and metallikon electrodes to metallic foil at both ends of the capacitor element are formed radially dividedly by leaving passages for oil impregnation among the electrodes. Then, after electrode caps each having a plurality of hole sections are put on both ends of a case and fixed to the insulated pole brace with screws, the case is filled up with insulating oil through the hole sections and the metallikon electrodes are connected to the electrode caps. At the same time, the case is sealed hermetically. Finally, water-cooling sections provided with liquid channels which can efficiently transfer heat are attached to the case.
