PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas interrupter convenient for a gas user by preventing erroneous interruption due to temporary pressure variation of gas during use. SOLUTION: The gas interrupter comprises a pressure sensor 3 for detecting the pressure in a gas passage, a section 11 for making a decision whether the condition of pressure is normal or abnormal by acquiring input signals from the pressure sensor 3 periodically as pressure values, a section 12 for storing the pressure values, and a flow rate deciding section 13 for comparing the flow rate signal from a flow rate sensor 4 with an internal decision value and outputting an over flow rate signal. Only when an abnormal pressure flow rate monitoring section 14 makes a decision that a previous pressure value at the pressure value storing section 12 and a current pressure value detected at the pressure detecting section 11 are abnormal and the flow rate deciding section 13 outputs an over flow rate signal, an interruption request signal is delivered and an interruption valve driving section 15 closes a gas interruption valve 5.
