<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emission device with high performance that may be fabricated at low cost and driven by low voltage. SOLUTION: An electron emission device comprises a glass substrate 100, cathode 101, resistor layer 102, insulating layer 103, and a gate electrode 104. On a metal layer 106 with high central portion in the opening 108, there is formed a carbon nano tube 107 by plasma CVD. A voltage is applied to the cathode 101 and gate electrode 104 to make the carbon nano tube generate electrons.</p> |
