<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detector capable of improving the SN ratio for precisely measuring an object position. SOLUTION: This object detector is provided with a transmitting antenna 6, a receiving antenna 10, a sampling signal generating means 16 generating a sampling signal, a sampling means 14 sampling a received signal from the receiving antenna 10 on the basis of the sampling signal, and a signal computing means 38 computing the sampled signal according to the predetermined procedure. The measurement cycle consists of a plurality of sampling sections, which are provided with a plurality of sampling terms, and the length of the sampling section is prolonged according to the lapse of time in each measurement cycle. In this way, a sampling frequency by means of a sampling means is increased.</p> |
