PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproducing device which can easily reproduce the suitable one of plural types of disks. SOLUTION: This disk reproducing device comprises a reproduction means 2 which reproduces selectively plural stored disks, a control means 1 which controls the reproducing operation of the means 2, the discrimination means 1 and 9 which discriminate the DST disks by the DST information included in the disk reproduction signals and a storage means 11 which stores the results of discrimination of the discrimination means 1 and 9. The control means 1 skips automatically the DTS disks among disks and performs the control to reproduce a disk other than the DTS disks according to the discriminating results stored in the means 11 when the disk is reproduced by the means 2.
