PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the updating time of a home page at the time of changing the URL address of the home page. SOLUTION: A managing part 3 on a WWW server 2 fetches a home page requested by a client 1, and classifies it into information related with a hyper- link described in the home page, link information indicating the URL address of the fetched home page, position information indicating at which position of the contents of the page the hyper-link of the link information is described, and the contents of the page indicating the contents of the original home page, and returns only the link information as a response to the client 1, and connects the corrected link information and position information and page contents transmitted from the client 1, and replaces it with a home page on the WWW server 2.
