PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the mechanical strength of a header tank while suppressing the rise of the mass (weight) and the manufacturing cost of a radiator. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger is provided, on the side of the wall face 120c on the long side of a rectangular tank, with a taper part 128a and a flange part 129a which constitute reinforcing parts out of mounting members 128 and 129 for attaching a blower (fan shroud). This can prevent the wall face 120c on the long side from being transforming largely, while relaxing the stress concentration which occurs at the junction between the mounting members 128 and 129 and the wall face 120c on long the side, accompanying the vibration of a vehicle. Accordingly, this can enhance the mechanical strength of a header tank 120 (especially, the wall face 120c on the long side) without incurring the rise of the mass (weight) and the manufacture cost of a radiator 100 by providing a reinforcement in vain, so this can enhance the reliability and the durability of the radiator 100. |
