The air diffuser for building ventilation has an air permeable casing (10) connected at its upstream end to a blower and closed at its downstream end. The interior of the casing has throttle plates (11I) defined between the upstream and downstream ends and defining diffusion chambers (12I). A throttle plate is provided with air passages for the chambers.
