PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can instantaneously realize the partial enlargement of a stereoscopic image when the image is observed by using a stereoscope. SOLUTION: Image processing means 301r and 301l change the sizes of arbitrary areas of first and second image signals (signals obtained from object light arriving through the eyepiece observation paths, etc., of a microscope) obtained by means of image picking-up means 300r and 300l when segmenting the areas in accordance with the information on at least one of the image picking-up ability of the image pickup means 300r and 300l, on the displaying ability of a displaying means 302, and on that whether or not the image picking-up means 300r and 300l make offset-site pick up. Consequently, the image signals (partially expanded image) of the segmented areas are synthesized and displayed by means of a displaying means 9 as a stereoscopic image.
