<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-type electric double-layer capacitor having a thin body, simple structure and moreover easy assembling work. SOLUTION: A pair of metal plates 2 with a flat face part 21 at an outer boundary part and a convex processed part 22 in a bent shape are put facing opposite to each other, with the projected sides near to each other. An electric double-layer capacitor element 3 is assembled inside between the metal plates 2. An insulating material 4 is put inside the flat face part 21 to prevent a short circuit across the metal plates 2. The opposite flat faces 21 are pushed under pressure in the direction from a rear side of the convex processed part 22 to the lamination of the electric double-layer capacitor element 3, to press the flat face part 21 tightly to the insulating material 4. While the flat face part 21 is put in a state of tight adherence to the insulating material 4, both flat face parts 21 are fixed with a fixing member 5 made of an insulating material.</p> |
