PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image-forming device which can suppress the total power within a prescribed range, while maintaining optimum performance as much as possible by changing the control of a printer part and a reading part separately in accordance with the power of the printer part and the reading part to be connected and which has an abundant lineup without limiting the combination of the reading part and the printer part. SOLUTION: This image-forming device consisting of the separable reading part and printer part and supplying the power of the reading part from the printer part transmit the power consumption information of the printer part to a read part (S101), selects optimum setting from among the combinations of power control held by the printer part and power control held by reading parts (S102, S105 and S106), controls the reading part in accordance with the setting and outputs an instruction to a printer part (S107). If there is no combination, in which the total power consumption of the printer part and the reading part is equal to or less than a prescribed value, the use of the device in the combination is inhibited and displayed (S108 and S109). |
