PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a telephone call charge settlement system which has no risk whatever that a dead loan of a telephone call charge can take place. SOLUTION: This first telephone call charge settlement system 10 is provided with a balance database 18 for storing prepaid amounts of callers 12 in each caller number, a charge database 20 for storing the charge system of each communication provider, a balance confirming part 26 which retrieves the database 20 with the caller number and confirms the balance, a speech communication approval/rejection deciding part 28 for deciding the approval/rejection of speech communication on the basis of the balance, a communication provider specifying part 29 for specifying one communication provider A on the basis of an input number from a caller side terminal 13, a line- switching device 16 and a line-control part 24 which connect the terminal 13 and a receiver side terminal 32 via an exchange α of the provider A, a speech communication time measuring part 34 for measuring speech communication time, a telephone call charge calculating part 36 for calculating the unit cost for a telephone call charge per unit time from the charge system of the provider A and a balance updating part 38 for subtracting the telephone call charge from the balance of the caller 12. |
