PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device and a combustion method in which the controllability of a combustion flow entering a combustion area is improved and a flame property can be controlled under the control of the combustion flow. SOLUTION: A combustion device comprises a combustion air feeder for introducing air for combustion to a combustion area, a combustion gas discharge device, a steam feeder, a mixer (mixing area) and a fuel gas introducing device. The combustion gas discharge device discharges the combustion gas generated in the combustion area outside a furnace therefrom. The mixer mixes the combustion gas and/ or steam with fuel. The fuel gas introducing device introduces the mixed fluid of the combustion gas, the steam and the fuel to the combustion area as fuel gas to mix the fuel gas with the air for combustion. The mixed fluid is introduced to the combustion area as a relatively large amount of fuel gas including lean fuel to be mixed with the air for combustion and thus generate a slow combustion reaction of the fuel gas in the combustion area. Thus, a flame property can be controlled by a fuel gas flow and the mixture of the fuel and the air for combustion can be more freely and assuredly controlled. |
