<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a built-in self-test(BIST) system that tests normality of data transmission at a payload level in a satellite communication system and of a communication satellite in the system. SOLUTION: The BIST system 100 includes a demodulator 136 having a BIST pattern generator 137 that injects a BIST pattern to a data stream of a communication satellite 130. BIST comparators 123, 131, 133, 166 at a downstream in the data stream compare the BIST pattern received by them with a known prescribed BIST pattern. The BIST comparator is placed in e.g. an in-craft computer 142, a processing module 165 in a routing processor 140, or a demodulator 122 in a reception ground terminal 120.</p> |
