<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the capacity of a CDMA communication system as a whole by increasing number of interference measurement symbols measured for a prescribed time so as to improve the accuracy of transmission power control. SOLUTION: In a transmission method of a pilot channel of a down link sent from a base station of a CDMA mobile communication system where base stations using the same frequency are provided to each of cells, a channel is divided by using a specific orthogonal code by each channel in each base station, and the cell is identified by multiplying the channel spread by the orthogonal code with the spread code assigned to each base station, in the case of using a plurality of orthogonal code sets with a plurality of the spread codes assigned to them for one base station, a pilot channel is assigned to each orthogonal set and the resulting set is transmitted. Furthermore, the pilot channel is placed at a symbol rate higher than a minimum symbol rate decided by the system.</p> |
