PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which may be downsized while using TABs of a flat type. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device 1 is constituted by disposing a printed circuit board 3 formed with signal lines for driving column drivers and signal lines for driving row drivers on the same substrate on the rear side of the display surface of a liquid crystal display panel 2 and disposing liquid crystal driving circuit parts 11 on the surface of the printed circuit board 3 on the side opposite to the surface disposed with the liquid crystal display panel 2. A recessed part 10, where the connecting terminal parts of the printed circuit board 3 and the connecting terminal parts 9 of a rear surface side substrate 5R existing on the rear surface side of the liquid crystal display panel 2 may be arranged flush with each other, is formed in the portion of the printed circuit board 3 where the printed circuit board 3 of the surface disposed with the liquid crystal display panel 2 and the liquid crystal display panel 2 overlap on each other.
