PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always connect a flexible substrate and a control substrate stably and precisely in a liquid crystal device with construction additionally connecting the control substrate with the flexible substrate connected to one or both of a pair of substrates holding a liquid crystal in between. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device is provided with the pair of substrates 7a, 7b holding a liquid crystal in between, the flexible substrates 3a, 3b connected with them and the control substrate 4 connected with the flexible substrates. Through-holes 27a, 27b are provided on the flexible substrates 3a, 3b. Holes 36a, 36b are provided on the control substrate 4. Terminals 28a, 28b and terminals 34a, 34b are soldered in the state pins 37 are inserted into the through-holes 27a, 27b and the holes 36a, 36b and positioning is carried out. Because the positioning of the flexible substrates and the control substrate is carried out with the insertion of the pins 37, the soldering is made simple and precise.
