PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the customer satisfaction by giving detailed information on a commodity and other useful information to a customer who purchases the commodity on the spot. SOLUTION: A reading/writing part 14 reads a customer card carried by a customer, a customer attribute file 121 and a purchase history file 122 are retrieved, and data such as a name and the past purchase history data are read. A reading part 16 also reads the bar code of a purchased commodity, a commodity attribute file 123 is retrieved and commodity data are read. A main controlling part 11 reads and combines appropriate regular sentences from a message DB 124 on the basis of the data, further inserts the data such as a name if necessary, prepares a specialized message for the customer and makes a printer 18 print out the message. |
