PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit the picture of high dignity to a picture part device by efficiently using a communication line. SOLUTION: Data quantity that can be transmitted to an outer device within exposure time is calculated (step 204). Compressibility is decided so that the data quantity of compressed picture data becomes equal to data quantity (steps S205 and S206). Picture data are compressed at the compressibility (step S207) and they are transferred to an outer device.
