METHOD FOR MEASURING AMOUNT OF SNOW LOADED ONTO TRUCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of rapidly and accurately measuring the amount of snow loaded onto a load-carrying platform of a truck. SOLUTION: The truck is photographed from the flank and from behind by video cameras. Snow images, a snow-amount representing lateral image and a snow-amount representing rear image, are taken out of the photographed images. These snow images are numerically integrated to find the pixel amount of snow, based on which the amount of snow loaded on the load-carrying platform of the truck is calculated.
