PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fluxes incident into stator core-holding plates and a magnetic shielding plate and suppress the rocal heating of the contact parts between assembly bolts and the stator core holding plate and the parts of assembly nuts. SOLUTION: A point on the circular are part of a field winding, which are equidistant from the end point of the circular arc part of the field winding on the lag side of the pole part of a rotor in a rotation direction and from the end point of the cicular arc part of the field winding on the lead side of the pole part of the rotor in the rotation direction, is positioned on the lead side of a plane, including the rotary shaft of the rotor and the pole center of a pole with an outermost diameter. With this constitution, assembly bolts hardly deform, tightening nuts are hardly loosened and a stator core can be supported surely between stator core-holding plates.
