PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound detector that can offer ease of maintenance and inspection of a microphone or the like with excellent user-friendliness. SOLUTION: The sound detector consists of a microphone support member 2 to the one end of which a microphone 6 detecting external sound is fitted, a base 1 to which the other end of the microphone support member 2 is fitted freely turnably, a lock member 4 that supports the microphone support member 2 in a upright state, and a stopper member 5 that restricts the turning angle of the microphone support member 2 to a prescribed angle.
