PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recovery method and a data recovery device by which data sent from a large number of data transmitter can be recovered without increasing the burden consisting of an introduction cost and a maintenance cost. SOLUTION: The data recovery method uses a data receiver 1 to recover data stored in a plurality of data transmitters 28-30. The data receiver 1 gives a circulation list to one of the data transmitters 28-30 which is specified at the beginning of the circulation list specifying the sequence of data recovery in advance. The transmitter specified as a first transmitter to receive the circulation list among the data transmitters 28-30 receiving the circulation list adds its stored data and its identifier to the circulation list and gives the circulation list to a next transmitter specified in the circulation list among the data transmitters 2830. The procedure above is repeated. A data transmitter specified as a final transmitter in the circulation list among the data transmitters 28-30 adds its stored data and its identifier to the circulation list and gives the circulation list to the data receiver 1.
