PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color correction definition generating method for generating color correction reproducing color correction by know-how that a scanner operator has. SOLUTION: A first process for obtaining corresponding definition 40 defining the correspondence of printing dot % CMYK and pigment quantity CMY by taking in a color chart 22 formed of respective patches 22a corresponding to the prescribed values of pigment quantity CMY by a scanner 10, a second process for obtaining corresponding definition 41 defining the correspondence of printing dot % CMYK and a coordinate value Lab by inputting plural printing dot % CMYK to a printer 30 and measuring the colors of respective patches 32a corresponding to respective printing dot % CMYK, a third process for obtaining corresponding definition 42 defining the correspondence of pigment quantity CMY and the coordinate value Lab by measuring the colors of the respective patches 22a and a fourth process for generating color correction definition 50 defining the correspondence of the coordinate value Lab (RV) and the coordinate value Lab (printing) by integrating the corresponding definitions 40, 41 and 42 are included.
