PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the processing performance of a read request when a lot of read requests and write requests are parallel generated. SOLUTION: Concerning an external storage device driver 100 of a computer 204, a parameter determining part 120 receives a read request 304 sent through an OS 201 to an external storage device 203 by a request from an application 202, counts the number of read requests per unit time and determines a parameter 121 containing write requests to be collected into one. When a write requests 303 top the external storage device 203 is received, on the other hand, an external storage device access control part 30 holds that request in a storage area. When write requests 303 are stored for the number shown by the parameter 121, these requests are converted to one write request 305 and access to the external storage device 203 is executed.
