PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strategy correction method obtaining an optimum strategy at every optical disk loaded on a drive device with the drive device itself. SOLUTION: A 3T pit length and a 11T pit length are measured related to sectors obtaining trial write states close to a target asymmetric valueβin order not to aggravate a jitter characteristic, and a differenceΔT3,ΔT11 with respective target reproducing 3T pit length and reproducing 11T pit length are calculated, and by correcting the strategy being a pulse length of nT (where, n=3-11) at a write-in time based on these differencesΔT3,ΔT11 by e.g. linear approximation, a write-in strategy is optimized at every optical disk, and various optical disks are optimized.
