PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bus substrate from being inclined with respect to a connecting substrate by external force in a liquid crystal display element constituted by connecting a panel terminal part and the bus substrate via the connecting substrate. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display element constituted by connecting the bus substrate 3 via the connecting substrate (TAB substrate) 4 to the terminal part 2 of the liquid crystal panel 1 has a substrate supporting means 10 for reinforcement for supporting the bus substrate 3 to the connecting substrate 4. This substrate supporting means 10 has a beam material 11 to be placed on the connecting substrate 4 and supporting means 12 disposed at both ends of the beam material 11. The bus substrate 3 is supported on nearly the same plane as the plane of the terminal part 2 by this supporting member 12.
