PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel and a method for its production by which the screen display region can be increased by eliminating a twist domain generated in the gap region between an alignment film and a sealing material. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal panel 1 having first and second substrates 1, 2 laminated with a sealing material 3, alignment films 13, 23 covering the surfaces of electrodes 6A, 7A, respectively, are formed to a region overlapping the forming region of the sealing material 3. Therefore, no gap is produced between the alignment films 13, 23 and the sealing material 3, and hence no low twist domain is produced in the liquid crystal 40 in this region. Thus, the region to the inner edge of the sealing material 3 can be effectively used as the screen display region. |
