PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit for motor vehicle of attaining refreshing discharge according to the extent of memory effect. SOLUTION: This power supply unit for motor vehicle, formed so as to perform refreshing discharge of conducting discharging, until battery voltage drops to a prescribed refreshing final voltage, when the service condition a charging battery reaches a prescribed condition, changes the refreshing discharge final voltage according to the extent of the memory effect.
